May 10, 2017 is the 7th anniversary of the day I self-published Secrets of Retail (my first novel).
Right. So. How do I feel about this? Conflicted.
Since then, I’ve self-published another book and done lots and lots of practice writing. A few novels. Some crashed and burned mid draft. One made it all the way through, but now that it’s done, I’m not sure I’m crazy about it.
Could many of these be saved? Sure. Will they be saved? I’m not sure. Most of them didn’t have any kind of healthcare to begin with. Since then they’ve signed up with Trump’s new system, but since most of them have pre-existing conditions they’re kind of screwed.
Other works includes various short stories, writing prompts and this very blog that you’re reading right now.
Honestly, I’ve never really stopped working, but I do sometimes wish I had kept my foot more solidly on the gas pedal.
But enough of that talk. If there’s one thing I’ve learned listening to motivational speeches on youtube it’s to always look forward. And don’t make excuses. And work your butt off. And…
Okay, so there are a lot of things I learned. No matter. The work continues!
