I couldn’t decide which book to talk about. There are far too many that I’m way too excited about. But I’m nothing if not a problem solver, so I used random.org to give me a random number.
I ended up with The Crying of Lot 49 by Thomas Pynchon.

This book was recommended to me by a co-worker. We were discussing Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson (you can check out my recent review here) and mentioned that I was surprised it wasn’t a little more tongue-in-cheek and humorous, based off of the main character’s name being Hiro Protagonist. My co-worker nodded knowingly, and told me if I wanted some great tongue-in-cheek satire to check out anything from Thomas Pynchon. He said to try The Crying of Lot 49 first since it’s one of his shorter works and will serve well as a sampler to his style. I’m looking forward to it!
