Shanah, a.k.a. the Bionic Bookworm, is one of the most giving and supportive bloggers in the entire blogopshere. Her Top 5 Tuesdays are a staple of many bloggers’ posting weeks. As a tribute, and a small token of our gratitude, some of us have agreed to do 1 final top 5 post for the year. This is the Top 5 ‘Top 5 Tuesdays’ in 2017!
Top 5 Book Covers
Who doesn’t love a good book cover? It’s was damn-near impossible to choose, but I did my best. I recently received a copy of Sea of Rust (possibly my all-time favourite cover) and it does not disappoint in-person!
Top 5 Buzzwords That Make Me Not Want To Read a Book
This was kind of a negative topic, but isn’t is kind of fun to just get bashy once in a while?
Top 5 Books That Have Been on My TBR the Longest
By far the guiltiest post of the year! At the time of writing, I thought these 5 books would be on my TBR in another year. However, I’m happy to report that due to the POPSUGAR reading challenge, most of these books will be read in 2018!
Top 5 Books That Need a Spin-Off
So much want and desire. The only part of the post that wasn’t enjoyable was realizing that I probably wasn’t going to get the spin-offs I wanted.
Top 5 New to Me Authors in 2017
I love this one for selfish reasons. I featured Kristen Ciccarelli on my list, and when I tweeted about it she liked my post. And a little later on, she actually replied. I know, I’m such a nerd. But it’s the little things in life, right?
Again, this is such a sweet thing to do for someone. Shanah deserves all the love in the world. Also great choices. Can’t wait for 2018’s T5T topics.
Thanks! I’m looking forward to 2018 T5T as well. And it’s not too late to add your own voice today’s T5T. *wink, wink, nudge, nudge*
I know. But I am so sad that I won’t be able to do this because a) I have to study and b) I can’t find time. I guess that’s just excuses.
Hahaha we share the Buzzwords and Cover here Joe. I nearly chose the New to me authors too 😉
Oooh I’ll have to throw a quick post together for Shanah. Such a lovely idea and I think Shanah will absolutely love this. 🙂
I just can’t handle the emotions today. I’m very difficult to surprise and almost impossible to make speechless – but you managed to do both within 24 hours! I was so confused with the ping backs this morning and when I realized what was happening I sat there stunned. To say thank you sounds so insignificant. The fact that you organized this and also contacted other bloggers to participate will forever blow my mind. So thank you a million times over – for participating every week, organizing this surprise, and also for the book in my mailbox yesterday!! I’ve always known that my family was amazing but you’ve gone above and beyond. ❤️❤️❤️
Good things do happen to good people.
I remember walking into Subway and seeing you for the first time in a long time. We only chatted a moment before you had to go and then your co-worker who rang me up informed me that my sub was free. I also remember going into the bait shop for the first time to buy some things for my father in law. Dave took the time to show me what was what and answer all my questions (I’m sure most of them were pretty dumb!) And to top it all off, he sold everything to me with a heavy discount. Like I said, good people. With as giving as you are, what’s wrong with receiving every once in a while?
There’s nothing wrong – it just doesn’t happen often lol I still remember that day you came into subway!! That was ages ago 😂
Aww I love this. 🙂 I was definitely late to the game with Shanah’s T5T but they are a lot of fun. I’m looking forward to diving in next month!
