Sometimes you love a book, but no one really shares in that love. You search high and low, but you’re the only one. In some cases, maybe people are flat-out talking about how they HATED the book you love.
In this week’s Top 5 Tuesday, host Shanah The Bionic Bookworm wants to know about the books we love that others didn’t. I don’t remember anyone hating on the books on my list, but there also weren’t a bunch of people shouting about how much they loved them. Does that count? It’s going to have to.
Wrestler to author… now that’s an interesting career path.
I loved Off To Be A Wizard! Admittedly I haven’t got round to reading his other books but I’m looking forward to them!
I haven’t either. But I will!
Actually, there are a ton of series that I’ve read the first book of haven’t gotten any further. I intend on finishing most of them. I guess I’m just really good at starting a series, and really bad at finishing them!
Haha, I’m the same! I always get really excited about starting a series but it’s such a big commitment reading them one after the other
People didn’t like Steelheart? I thought everyone loved ALL Brandon Sanderson lol The cover for Off To Be A Wizard looks amazing! Need to look into it!
Thanks so much for participating – added you to the list 🙂
Like I said, I don’t think the books I loved are hated, so I chose books that I don’t hear much about… The closest I could come up with!
Well I’m glad for it! Gives me some books to look into 🙂
I didn’t realize people didn’t love Wool. I remember when I read the first installment it felt like everyone loved it! Also, to this day Mick Foley’s autobiographies are probably my favorite autobiographies ever. Especially Have a Nice Day. He’s a funny dude. 🙂
These aren’t books people hated. I couldn’t find books I liked that people hated. So these are books that people don’t talk much about.
And the Mick Foley book I listed is a work of fiction. And it’s fascinating!
I had a hard time with this week too. I thought about going that route too, but I think I’ve done that one before. Either way, good list. I’ll have to check out the Mick Foley book.
Well I am clueless at what to say this time Joe as I haven’t read any of these. So I cant tease you on your taste 😉
Wool was so good. I haven’t heard great things about the followup books, but I haven’t tried them myself.
