Big thanks goes out to MommyMonster90 @ Mom’s Book Collection for nominating me for The Black Car Blue Sea award. There is always an interesting post to check out on her blog, so if you’re not already following, you know what to do.

“This award is for bloggers who strive to write for everybody, and no matter how many viewers they get, make an impact on a reader. This award is an expression of gratitude to the nominee. It should be awarded to anybody that you choose deserves it, and it doesn’t mean that they must have hundreds of followers and likes.”

the rules:

  • anybody nominated can nominate eight other bloggers
  • the nominee answers three questions posed by the nominator
  • the questions you ask while nominating can be any three questions
  • if any of the questions asked are offensive or the nominee simply does not want to answer, the nominee does not have to answer them to earn the award

QUESTIONS FROM MOM’S BOOK COLLECTION

  1. PICK A BOOK TO TURN INTO A MOVIE AND EXPLAIN WHY?

My gut reaction is to say Hex by Thomas Olde Heuvelt because I just finished it and it blew me away. However, I think it might need a mini-series or something to do it justice. That being said, I’m going to call on Leigh Bardugo with Six of Crows. It was great, and the pacing is closer to what’s needed for a movie.

  2. TRUTH OR LIE, GIVE A TRUTH OR GIVE A LIE?

I’ve never read a James Patterson novel and never plan on it.

  3. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BOOKISH ITEM?

Rory’s Story Cubes! These babies are just fun to play with. You can use them as a party game where people have to tell a story on the spot using the images rolled on the dice, or it can be a great creative exercise for stories of all lengths.

I nominate:

Journey into Books

Spine Cracker

Never Not Reading

Naty @ Naty’s Book Shelf

Kawther @ The Villain Library

Talk Darcy to Me

allymemes @ Ally Writes Things

and anyone who wants to answer the following questions…

My questions:

  1. You will be sent one copy of every book from a single author for the rest of his or her career, which author do you pick?

  2. In your opinion, should there be more Harry Potter books?

  3. Name a popular author who you think should just stop writing.
