This probably comes as a shock, considering how much I talk about it being one of my favourites, but I don’t own a hard copy. I originally bought it as an eBook. A year later, I bought it as an audiobook. But STILL, I don’t have a paperback or hardcover.

Possibly the most fascinating premise on the list. Every word, whether spoken, written, texted, etc, etc, has a cost. Charged for the simple act of speaking. Chatterboxes would go broke within a day.

A Darker Shade of Magic
I know, I know. I’m really, really late to the party on this one. I think it’s been at the top of my ‘to-buy’ list longer than any other book.
Ooh I really hope you get all of these- and I hope you like Darker Shade of Magic when you get to it 🙂 And Invictus sounds so good!!

Fun fact: One year I found all my presents a week before Christmas. The following Christmas was the most boring Christmas I have ever had. All surprise was gone. Turns out, surprise is my favourite part.
Lol that happened to me too! I thought it was great knowing what I was getting. But then Christmas morning was just blah. I never looked again!!
Same. Never again. I’ll run out of a room if I think there’s even a chance of me seeing a gift pre-Christmas.

I was so close to getting the audiobook version of RPO and decided on Yhe Graveyard Book instead. Do you recommend it on audio?
It was fine. The audio portion didn’t blow me away. My Audiobook of the year was definitely The Last Namsara read by Pearl Mackie. THAT blew me away.
I’ll probably just buy the book then. I’ll have to look into The Last Namsara!
