I really don’t like talking about myself. Coming up with things about myself that someone else would be interested in hearing about? Is that even possible? And the fact that I can’t come up with interesting things about myself might have a little something to do with number 2…
I’m terrible with small talk. I have no problem talking to people. I’ll talk to anyone, but they kind of have to be the one to talk and I’ll respond. If I sat a room with someone just like me, we’d sit in silence looking around at everything on the walls, floors, ceiling.
I’m a die-hard WWE fan. I’ve been watching I was a kid. Now I’m in my 30s, still watching, and my kids are starting to get into it! Even though I’m not an American, I really want to see Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson run for President.
I’m a video game addict. I don’t make a lot of time for video games anymore, but it’s only with a crushing amount of self-control that I don’t play every. single. day.
My reading life started with comic books. Spider-man, if I remember right. I was getting groceries with my mom, and even though I had never read a comic in my life, I asked my mom to buy me a comic and she did. That started a life-long love of comics and superheroes, though I ended up being a DC guy instead of Marvel.
I’ve been to New Orleans during Mardi Gras. I was only 20 at the time. I could legally drink in Canada, but not in the US. However, I drank anyway. A lot. I’m not sure they even know what ID is there, let alone ask for it.
The J.W. stands for Joseph William. William is my dad’s name, but Joseph is all mine. Though, I go by Joe. Joseph doesn’t bother me, but I like Joe.
I did wonder at what the J W stands for.
I’m not a small talk fan either. I do try but it’s exhausting! 🙃

I didn’t know you’ve been to Mardi Gras! So jealous! New Orleans is on my lifetime bucket list!!!
For the record – I’ve never called you Joey, but always wondered why some people did. Another fun fact – your sister and I could be twins…….. your dad and my dad could be twins. The Martin genes are strong 😂

I’m the EXACT SAME about small talk. If someone else small talks, I can keep it up but they have to start it or else I’ll just sit there and say nothing. My mom can small talk to anyone about anything, but unfortunately didn’t pass that along to me. Also New Orleans is one of my top travel destinations, so I’m so jealous you’ve been!!
