Thursday Quotables

Thursday Quotables is hosted by Bookshelf Fantasies, and this is my first time taking part.

  • Write a Thursday Quotables post on your blog. Try to pick something from whatever you’re reading now. And please be sure to include a link back to Bookshelf Fantasies in your post (http://www.bookshelffantasies.com), if you’d be so kind!
  • Add your Thursday Quotables post link in the comments section below… and I’d love it if you’d leave a comment about my quote for this week too.
  • Be sure to visit other linked blogs to view their Thursday Quotables, and have fun!

Roque au Fabii, Golden Son by Pierce Brown

Even though this is my first crack at this one, I’m going to cheat. Instead of quoting something from my current read (Morning Star by Pierce Brown) I’m going to quote the prequel (Golden Son) which I just finished before starting Morning Star.

This was probably the only time I was truly able to make a connection with the character Roque. Despite being one of the supporting characters, I just didn’t care one way or the other about him.

But with this quote, I suddenly felt like I knew a lot about him. We all have our introverted side. Mine is probably a little bigger than average, but I made peace with that a long time ago.

Fun fact about this post: I was looking up how to spell Roque’s last name and accidentally saw a Morning Star spoiler! DAMNIT! Now I HATE Roque.
